A well know model from Kubey

The Eris, a Kubey original design, is one of Kubey’s most popular models. And for good reason, it is lightweight, perfect size, attractive and a solid performer. The amazing advanced synthetic fiber handles (carbon fiber?) are offset by the long thin profile of the Stonewashed D2 blade. Kubey knives have long been admired for their quality handle materials. Slightly textured CF handles, gray 6AL4V Titanium pocket clip and back spacer. Stainless steel Nested liners. Smooth SS pivot cap and stainless steel screws add a nice contrast against the carbon fiber handles. Lack of blade billboarding on this model adds to its visual appeal, a small Kubey logo on the show side and a simple D2 on the clip side of the blade. As with all Kubey knives the materials and craftsmanship are amazing, working together to produce an appealing, rugged, yet stylish look and feel. The Eris maintains Kubey’s signature snappy deployment made possible by the ceramic ball bearings and excellent detent working together. I am unable to fail deployment of the blade due to the finely tuned detent. One minor negative. The pivot is free spinning - not “D” shaped which would provide for easier removal of the pivot. Since both sides of the pivot can rotate it is necessary to use a T8 on both sides when removing the pivot. It is not difficult to disassemble but a D shaped pivot would be a nice upgrade.
